From abroad, you can fly to either of the two (2) major international gateways to the Philippines: Manila or Cebu.

Cebu is more convenient as it is closer to Bohol and it will save you the hassle of going through Manila. From Europe, you’ll have to stop-over in either Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hongkong or Doha.

If you pass through Manila, there are flights connecting to Tagbilaran City in Bohol. The flight is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. (click here for Flight Schedules)

It is also possible to take a boat but will take about 23-25 hours, and is only advisable if you have plenty of time to spare and/or your purpose in visiting the Philippines includes Manila and the surrounding areas. Traveling by boat also saves a lot of money for tight-budget vacations.

If you want to pass by Cebu first, numerous flights are available from Manila to Cebu. You can then continue to Bohol by fastcrafts plying the Cebu-Tagbilaran route which takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes or the slower ferries that takes about 4 hours. Getting from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to the pier takes about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic conditions. You may want to check the schedules of the fastcrafts first to ensure that you have enough time to transit from the airport to the pier.

Airlines flying to Cebu from Manila are Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, SEAir, Asian Spirit and Air Philippines. Fastcrafts plying the Cebu-Tagbilaran route are Weesam Express, Ocean Jet and Supercat.
